Tom’s experiences with Van Halen are very personal and deep.

Oh my that was a crazy and awesome concert. If you were there you remember the water fights going on throughout the stands. Is started with small cups of water and ended up with the second level dumping a trash can of water on the first level.
I saw van helen in 76 at a backyard party in glendora ca. Same setup they had a light show some pyrotechnics great band played mostly cover songs. I also saw tracy in ww3 I actually liked ww3 better
2008 Epiphone Explorer no cracks still. Return for a replacement.
Very cool stuff. Legend
I cant really tell because its a live band..live mix..the guitar sound needs to be separated out of the mix..if i had my eyes closed..it could be any amp..nothing stands out in this video..i need to hear one in person to truly decide which is the one...or maybe both...dunno
Thx for sharing!! Silver Jubilee is an incredible amp. Is that a reissue or the original!! Don\t sell it. For me the silver jub is the clear winner.
With an OCD Boost in front, it's the best lead tone and feel I have ever experienced!
Never heard of Jeremy, but seems and sounds like a very likeable guy 😂 I think I will have to check him out!!!
He's a very nice guy!
How can you make it sound amazing with only one channel from your interface to your mixer, How does that improve from your previous 4 output channel I mean I totally understand samples sound way better than programmed sounds, but what I don’t understand is how to make it sound good in a live performance, if you can’t equalize, panning, or etc individually 🤷
We added a Focusrite Scarlett with 8 outputs. So the I send it out of EZ Drummer Kick, Snare, Toms all on 1 Channel, Ride and Crashes on 1 Channel, Hi Hat on 1 We only have 16 Channels to work with but I have 3 outputs left if I had a 24 Ch Mixer
You both sound fantastic!
Wow... Real hard to get through this 'tongue bath' without towling off... P.S. Neal Schon can run circles around you, kid.
; Mental.
According to Larry Dimarzio the pickup in the Kramer 5150 was a broken Seymour Duncan JB when he designed the pickups for Eddie’s music man signature
As a drummer Ed is definitely one of my favorites if not my favorite. But Alex cannot be understated or underrated. The rhythmic connection was awesome.
It sounds great on a marshall this is my next guitar im saving up for
Steve is a great talent and I still perform with my 1993 Washburn ss80 that he’ll never talk about again.
I gig regularly with the JJ using the Friedman matching 1x12 and believe me, the JJ can cut through the mix with no problems with a heavy-handed drummer. To me, it sounds like the small box and the JJ were eq'd differently somewhat in this video. Every show , people say how good the JJ sounds. Don't get me wrong. The smallbox sounded wonderful and i own both of them and the smallbox has magical sound qualities that are amazing!!
Awesome. Thanks!! ❤
Great description of early Eddie. Vicious.
Not only is Gregg a world class drummer but you can tell he's a music fan like the rest of us
I saw Van Halen 5X so glad I saw those shows ..🎶🎵🎸✌️
How can these rack effects survive thru the years without airflow. No spacing in between.
My opinion is Mr. Lynch was and is as good in his own way as any other guitarist I have been a fan of and listened to. Sometimes he knows how good he is and knows how to tell you why, sometimes he is humble. I like these interviews, he is still bright, smart and full of life. Glad he is still making music and doing good in his life. I don’t know him personally but I do like rock stars, they are so cool and they make me laugh, especially the wild and crazy stories. Some stories maybe shouldn’t be retold, I do have friends in the business. I have seen some crazy stuff back in the days when the big rock bands came through, working security in the big city. Rock stars to me are some of the most honest people and generous people on the planet, normally a breath of fresh air in my world when I am hanging with one sharing stories.
I was also at the 2004 st louis show and ed was in a bad spot
I was at the Monster's of Rock in Memphis also and it was freaking hot. We were right in the front the whole day and it was a rough day. Then after all that day in the heat we were all in the cars trying to get out of there and drive back to missouri and ended up kicking the shit out of two guys from arkansas in a big Cadillac that were acting stupid trying to pull in front of the line. That was a whole other show in the parking lot.
Judgement day and pleasure dome could have easily been songs with Roth.
84 San Diego Sports Arena 2nights I have the Boots
Ed started doing his fan/hummingbird picking again in 2012. He didn't do it in 04 and 07/08. Also watch on youtube the Cincinnati 04 show....I was there 4th row. Best show of 04....saw them in Chicago before that and was disappointed....but the Cincinnati show lifted me up again.
I saw Eddie first jumping on women and children and more on diver down , he also was doing more leg kicking while going backwards Eddie by far had best sta g e presence and dances to anyone..Everybody tried to copy him but fell short to the GOAT !
This was just lovely! You both don't look your ages and it's like you two were 13 years old again with all of that same excitement talkin' 'bout Eddie! Then, towards the end you could see that you both had to come back into the present moment. But just a for a minute, you took us backwards in time to those fun times. Loved it! Thanks Jeremy and Jeff! ❤🖤🤍🎸👑
Ace is the worst player to ever pick up a guitar
41:28 I'm dying laughing cuz he said it perfectly! 🤣🤣🤣 "Right Now" does that on piano. And, I've noticed Wolf is pulling that shit too! 🤣🤣🤣 Love it! That is one of the points of joy of Eddie's music!
I was at Van Halen concert 2015
Mark very good guitar player, he kind underrated
The scissor splits started in ‘80. I saw the ‘79 tour and he wasn’t doing it. But he was kicking the top cabs!
Beat It solo got me into Eddie Van Halen and then I got back to listening earlier Van Halen album and then it history Van Halen my favorite band of all times and started play guitar
Interesting they said Bebe, Jackie Fox from the Runaways talks about taking Gene to see them. I'd never heard Bebe before. I could ask Bebe but I won't.
Thank you, sir. LOL! I remember, like Jeremy remembers, reading and buying Circus and Hit Parader magazines from my local grocery store! I was a "late bloomer", so to speak, to the music scene. I began my hard rock/metal singing at age 28, in 1996. I sang in many cover bands and bands with originals. I saw Van Hagar in May of 1986, and DLR in 1988.
2/ 11 / 1984 was the Nashville date. I was exactly the same. Loved KISS. Saw them in 1979 . I was 8 . WACF was my first 8 track. I was waiting on 1984 to come out. And boom I’m going to see Van Halen. Still have the ticket stub 🎫 Hey if you ever wanna jam I live here in Nashville. lol I’m serious.
First time I saw them was 81 fair warning at the spectrum in Philadelphia. Second time was 92 also at the spectrum for the cardinal knowledge tour. Last time was 2015 in New Jersey with crap seats because I got them free due to them bailing on Hershey PA (which I had great seats- bummer). What a blessing it was to come of age during the 80’s. Thanks for making these. I love hearing all the experiences from others that were similar to my own with =VH=.
Cool. It sure was a blessing to come of age in the 80's! I was 14, in 1980!
Your welcome!
@@99percentirish64 Same here!
Dude that heel finish crack. My explorer arrived w the exact same thing. Even consistent w the pattern on yours. I was worried too, but decided to still keep it
THOSE SYMBOLS ARE SOMETHING U WOULD FIND IN A ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BAND
Didn't Damon take Gary's place in Skynyrd after Gary died?
Yes he’s currently in that spot.
@@FinalResonanceTV thanks 😊
I remember seeing Eddie VH in an interview say that Dave hand picked the best musicians in the world for his new solo band, after they broke up. What a compliment!
Neil likes to “act” like rock star. LOL! But isn’t. He’s a photographer with a big mouth. That’s it.
Are you running that pedal straight or are there other processors and so forth plugged into it ?
Straight in FM3 only
Phil is the baddest. Period. I really do enjoy listening to his observations insights and comments. Super funny guy - and plays his ass off.
ive visited the van halen “stage” its really kinda lame. makes you think the city is embarrassed to be home of the band. they do their best to make the tributes as minuscule as possible.
George Lynch is 70!! Holy sh!t!! He has kept himself in great shape. Back in the 80's I had a huge love of Dokken because of George's insane playing and tone. He had his time as my favorite guitar player. I remember reading a Guitar World magazine article about George, and I remember it described George something like he stalked the stage like a praying mantis which I thought was so cool. No one played like him. Truly a legend. Really great interview. So cool to hear George's thoughts about Edward. You can obviously see a great love and respect George had for him.
I saw Greg on Eat em and smile tour but before that he was playing with Maynard Ferguson which I saw him live in 1985 touring in Victoria . Great jazz drummer
I remember "Metal Skool" every Monday night at the Key Club on Sunset. Good times.
